The two roles
One player becomes the Blind Man. The official description calls that player blindfolded and armed, and tells the rest of the lobby to stay quiet and hide from him.
A narrated recording from November 2, 2026 describes the Blind Man carrying a shotgun and a baseball bat, with the goal of killing everyone else. The same session also shows the Blind Man's view: the screen starts close to black, then map outlines fade in.
No recording in this material shows hiders carrying a weapon. Their job is to stay out of the shotgun's path, keep quiet, and last until the round ends. The official badge list has separate first-win badges for both sides, which confirms that each side can win.
- Blind Man: blindfolded, armed, and hunting by sound.
- Hiders: unarmed, quiet, and trying to survive the round.
How a round plays out
You join a public server and spawn as either the Blind Man or a hider. The recordings show players reacting to that assignment before the hunt starts, so read your role indicator first.
The round then becomes a sound game. Hiders whistle on a timer, and each whistle briefly gives away a position. The Blind Man listens for that cue, closes distance, and shoots. The round ends when the hiders are eliminated or the timer runs out.
The exact round length is not published. One recording calls out 30 seconds left, but that is a moment in a round, not the total.
Sound is the map
The whistle is the most reliable cue in the game. Hiders have to whistle on a timer, and each whistle briefly reveals where they are. Treat the whistle as a forced position ping: after it sounds, the spot you were standing in is known.
A 27-second narrated short says the Blind Man gets a powerful hearing ability every 30 seconds that reveals everyone's location. That interval appears in one video only, so plan around periodic hearing pulses without trusting the exact number.
Recordings add footsteps and voice chat as practical cues. In one session a player says 'you have to use VC for it to work' and then mentions waiting for the whistle. The clip does not make clear which action needed voice chat, so this page treats it as an observation, not a rule.
Grabbing, pushing, and human shields
Hiders can push and grab. Destructoid's overview describes hiders pushing, grabbing, and using friends as human shields, and the recordings include both 'stop pushing me' and 'I'm going to grab you'.
That makes teammates a risk as well as help. A grabbed hider becomes cover; a shove can put someone into the shotgun's line. The badge list rewards pushing the same player ten times in one game (bully) and pushing the Blind Man a hundred times in total (annoying hider), which confirms pushing is an intended, repeatable action.
Reviving also exists. Two badges reference it: heal demon for 100 revives, and actual hero for reviving someone and dying within five seconds. The game page does not explain the revive input or its limits.
The Exception appears in one badge only: close call asks you to use it on someone who will die within three seconds. No source in this material explains what The Exception is or how to obtain it.
Controls and keybinds
The official Roblox page does not list keybinds for sneaking, grabbing, pushing, or shooting. Roblox's default movement and camera controls apply, and the rest is taught in-game.
One third-party beginner wiki says there is no crouch and that Control sneaks. That claim is not confirmed by the official page or by the recordings used here. Test it in a round before relying on it.
Fan-wiki keybinds are unverified. Check the game's own interface after an update.
Win conditions and rewards
- Hiders win by surviving the round. Destructoid's summary says to survive long enough, and the first hider win badge confirms the outcome.
- The Blind Man wins by eliminating everyone. The first blind man win badge and the recorded goal ('kill everybody else') support that.
Winning pays Coins. Coins buy weapon skins, emotes, and extra gadgets in the shop. The homepage keeps the reported code list, and the Robux shop lists every Robux product.
A Blind Man who kills nobody can still finish the round and earn lore accurate blindman, so a quiet round is a recorded outcome, not a failed connection.
Server size, price, and private servers
Servers hold up to eight players, and the experience is free. The official games API reports maxPlayers 8 and a null price.
Private servers are not available. The same API reports createVipServersAllowed false. The private-server page covers what that means for playing with friends.
What the developer lists as inspirations
The official description names two inspirations: Lurking by ctrl freak, and Half-Life 2 (hl2) by Valve. The description gives no further explanation, and this page does not infer mechanics from those names.
What this page cannot confirm
- Exact round length and whistle interval.
- Whether the Blind Man's hearing pulse is exactly 30 seconds.
- Shotgun damage, spread, and ammo count.
- Keybinds for sneak, grab, push, and weapon switching.
- What The Exception does.
- Whether the Halloween event changes these rules; the event page tracks what is confirmed.
For practical play built on these rules, see the Blind but Dangerous tips page. The badge list shows what each round can unlock.
